Oh, help! It just continues to get worse, doesn’t it … In case you’re wondering, that’s a statement, not a question. Then, again, computer says ‘No’! Regardless, to think, I was only in the post office queue a week ago – static due to a numpty and only one cashier – and the guy behind me told me I was loved! I merely happened to comment that somebody ‘up there’ hates me, when he replied that he knew he was loved. ‘Excellent. Very pleased for you’, I said – laughing – which, then, prompted, ‘and I know you are, too’. Perfect. Nothing to worry about, then. I did, rapidly, dis-engage, however. Following the Jehovah’s Witness episode on the train not that long ago …
He did make me smile, though, and that’s a plus – and one of the best things about humour: it catches you unaware; can be found anywhere and everywhere. The best leveller … James Blunt is a huge advocate. Might explain why his latest offering is venturing into the realms of dance music? When James Blunt throws in the towel and joins the masses, we are definitely in trouble! Moreover, only the other day, I learned that The Lady is no more. The Lady? Truly, the final death knell, representing the demise of so much of value; so much which defined this country of old: courtesy, manners, refinement. Our culture is rapidly disappearing down the Swanee, to be lost forever in a pit of slime. One need only listen to Radio 2 – no idea how to change the setting – increasingly awash with thick regional accents where, once, there were the dulcet tones of the Queen’s English. Defiant in the rapidity of change, it augurs a determination to dispense with the well-spoken – read posh – in its race to the bottom! As it is, if watching ITV, I continually have to press ‘mute’ between programmes in light of my blood pressure! That AWFUL continuity female has the most inane Scottish accent, deliberately exaggerated and wholly intolerable! She must, surely, have escaped from that hideous pile – the brainchild of a blind architect on speed? – in Holyrood, otherwise known as the Scottish Parliament building? The rougher and more aggressive, the better in there. Legal immunity just one of the job benefits …
Does anyone remember Steve Wright’s Mr Angry? Reading back over the above just happened to bring him to mind. Little wonder, really. Have I been watching Patrick Christys again? Affirmative but, in my defence, isn’t it natural to seek out like-minded people? Huge fan of Patrick for his courage, both journalistic and personal. Strong in his opinions, he is not one to be persuaded, nor to shy away from the obvious, no matter how potentially damaging. His personal coverage of the stark reality of the migrant camps in Calais, recently, was ground-breaking, not only exposing the Government and its lies, but, in turn, surely something more sinister? Trust? There is none. Cynicism? Always – and deserved.
Apparently, a millionaire leaves Britain every forty-five minutes! Meanwhile, our ‘kind and caring’ Government has announced that, commencing autumn 2026, all children from households claiming Universal Credit – regardless of income – will be eligible for free school meals. Excellent. Why not? Seems this Government rewards those who do the least … What happened to the word ‘parent’? To the responsibility that comes with the word ‘parent’? How many children, now, start school in nappies? How many have never been taught to brush their teeth? Next, it’s breakfast clubs and free meals because, increasingly, there are children in this country – one of the wealthiest in the world – deprived of wholesome food; read neglected. As thousands of illegal migrants cross the channel undeterred, weekly, welcomed with hotel accommodation and benefits costing us millions, the State is ‘claiming’ more and more children for their own. As the apathetic and uneducated continue to renege on their responsibilities as parents, so the Welfare State steps in; no attempt to stem the cause. Socialism at the hands of Starmer. In the words of the late, great Maggie: ‘The problem with socialism is that you, eventually, run out of other people’s money.’ He is a dwarf in her wake! Personally, I have other words …
Is there anybody left who still believes that Keir (‘Kweir’) Starmer has the best interests of Britain at heart? Rhetorical. If in any doubt, however, one should look no further than the scathing views of Robert Jenrick, Shadow Justice Secretary. The following, on GB News Online, affords the detail: ‘Nobody less suited for the job!’ Robert Jenrick takes aim at Lord Hermer for being ‘handpicked’ by Keir Starmer: ‘He doesn’t like Britain’. Just click! Notably, the pair have not only chosen to give away the Chagos Islands to Mauritius, a long-term ally of China, but, also, reneged on an appeal in Northern Ireland’s High Court to uphold the immunity granted to the brave men who served in the armed forces during the troubles. Lord Hermer chose to defend Gerry Adams, leader of the IRA. Now, hand-in-hand with Starmer, the pair have chosen not to protect our own … As thousands of illegal immigrants (men, only) are welcomed into this country – one whose Prime Minister, instead, sees fit to imprison Lucy Connolly, an innocent mother, for an angry, knee-jerk tweet – there is reason to question and, most definitely, reason to fear.
Gone is the patriotism that, once, buoyed a nation. Churchill would be turning in his grave. Our security, never more tenuous, in this volatile climate of now, we have no armed forces to protect. Depleted and depressed, if a call to arms, there would be no volunteers. All courage and bravery is gone. The Great Britain, of old, is no more. As our culture continues to be eroded, it is white Britain which is under threat, a recent report in The Telegraph citing that those of white skin colour – native to this country – will be in the minority come forty years. Already – as multi-culturalism fails spectacularly – it is becoming increasingly problematic to be white. A white, straight male? The most biased against in a country which favours the Pride flag over the Union Jack! I refer to my opening words …
‘The parents’ hearts are the child’s schoolroom’.
Inspired by Henry Ward Beecher
The responsibility of a parent is all-encompassing. Were it universally upheld, I believe this world would be a very different one.
Second star to the right and straight on ’til morning …
This is Trish, signing off.
